We loved the food and wine! There were many good options but we had the snapper and the sirloin, after we had an appertivo (the club sandwich). Such great flavors. Service was a little slow but was great up until the end. We were trying to pay the bill and asked if we could tip since we enjoyed everything, and our waiter responded &ldquo;we don&rsquo;t do that in Italy, you just pay the bill&rdquo; which we found fairly rude. I&rsquo;ve been to Rome, Milan, and Florence where I&rsquo;ve always been able to tip. So just a note to not assume that guests haven&rsquo;t been elsewhere in Italy/around the world or be standoffish when they&rsquo;re trying to compliment the restaurant.. definitely hurt the vibe a bit.

The owner and staff were very accommodating.  Food was served hot and on time.  Quality and portion size was good.  No complaints.

Six of us ate here and found the food excellent. It was an interesting and creative cuisine,, ample portions and well presented. An enjoyable evening.

We have been 3 days/nights in Lecce and we went to Alex Ristorante 4 (four!!!!) times. It is simply the best for us. It&#39;s the atmosphere, it&#39;s the service, it&#39;s the quality of food, it&#39;s the boss with eyes everywhere and it&#39;s his nice wife he is &quot;hiding&quot; in the kitchen as the Chef of the kitchen. The food was very good, but the service was a little slow and they didn&rsquo;t come around to the table to see if we needed anything.We ordered a fish that they said weighed 1400 grams, and when we got the bill, it was 1650 grams. I think they should have weighed the fish before they told us the weight.

Impeccabile service. Amazing fresh raw seafood, expanse wine selection and let&rsquo;s not talk about the homemade lemon spaghetti with shrimp tartar and stracciatella cheese&hellip; can&rsquo;t wait to visit beautiful Lecce again.

The menu was so intriguing we decided to have two starters each and then a dish called Watercolor Risotto. Surprisingly the starters all came at once. That was a little odd. Good thing the egg with truffle, the cod carpaccio, the ceviche and the anchovies with Gorgonzola (what? Yes!) were all beautiful dishes. But our Primo was otherworldly. Turns out Chef Alexandra is a genius. Her Risotto smelled deliciously of the smoked tea it was prepared with, and on top lay the softest, most delicate piece of prawn. Never had such perfect al dente risotto. Also loved the Puglia chardonnay that the sommelier picked for us.
